The Dickinson and Lullo | Pampoulides galleries are pleased to announce their collaboration for the exhibition Drama, Power and Seduction: Baroque Painting in Rome, a celebration of the rich and multifaceted world of Roman Baroque painting.
Opening during the London sale’s week in late June and running through till the end of Frieze Masters in October, the exhibition brings together a curated selection of masterworks spanning from the early seventeenth to the early eighteenth centuries. It features both iconic names - such as Carracci, Sacchi, Maratta, Mola, and Panini - and works by lesser known or recently rediscovered artists active in Rome during this vibrant period.
The exhibition will aim to trace a path that reveals how the Eternal City became a multicultural and unrivalled stage for artistic ambition, cultural exchange, and visual splendour.
